Rules and Information

Home and away rules

  • Fill in and submit online form (smart phone friendly)

  • One point awarded for each win

  • Draws cannot be tipped

  • If you have tipped and the result is drawn, you earn one point

  • Default tip when a single game or part of round missed is 'no tip'

  • Default tip when full round is missed is 'lowest score minus one'

  • If full round of tips are not in before start of first game, you will be penalised one tip

  • Weekly cash prize to tipster with the most correct tips

  • The margin of the last game is used to separate multiple winners

  • Closest to the margin is the winner (must select the winning team in the margin game).  In the event that no one in the lead group has picked the winning team, or the game is drawn, then the winner is decided on purely closest to the margin.

  • In a tie (tips and margin) cash prize is split evenly

  • Full round of tips must be in prior to the commencement of the first fixture of the round.  When the round has commenced, your tips cannot be altered. (tip as many times as you like prior to the start of the round)

  • Failure to tip over an extended period of weeks, the tipsmaster has the option to remove you from the weekly competition due to administration pressures.

  • CTC, COVID (or other pandemic) rule 1 : When significant player strength is effected by COVID, and that strength effect is discovered after all tips are accepted at CTC, then the tipsmaster can declare that a change in tips for the effected game will be accepted.

Filling in the form

  • Your name is selected from the drop down list of tipsters

  • When entering the margin, only use a number (no text), (correct example 59), (incorrect example 59 pts)

 

Disputes

  • The tipsmaster (Chris) will adjudicate on any and all disputes.  His decision will be fair and final.

 

Late full round of tips

  • Late full round of tips will only be allowed when no advantage is gained - as adjudicated by the tipsmaster (Chris).  Late games are never accepted.

 

Finals Comp (subject to interest)

  • (separate to the home and away competition):

  • One fee.  One winner takes all.

  • To progress through each round and to the final you must pick winners only, or be in the group that has picked the most winners for that round. In the final you must pick the winner and be closest to the margin.  If no finalist picks the winner, the closest to the margin will win. (regardless of who you picked).  The margin will become a net figure - closest to that number wins.
